Maybe 100 less for a real OS and not ARM based.
Seems like a good product, just not that price point, yet. |

It's $50 less than an iPad with comparable storage - I don't think it's a bad deal.
You lose the retina display and long battery life, but gain a "real" OS, swappable batteries, a MicroSD slot, and USB ports. Unfortunately, you gotta add $200 to get an integrated cell modem versus the iPad's $100 premium, but OTOH USB ports mean you *could* add an external, free-after-rebate AT&T/Verizon/Sprint USB cell modem. If you don't mind carrying the extra part around, being 100% carrier agnostic is not a bad deal. |

you can buy one at the outlet for about 250 or so and do the windows 8 upgrade but the reviews are not great with the atom processor and 2 gb of ram

While I won't argue it's a nice tablet and will suit many peoples' needs, it certainly wouldn't suit mine or my businesses'. Good, yes. Hands down best? Not by a long shot.

the samsung 500t and acer w510 are $600 and have the same specs as this tablet.

tempted to buy this...surface pro will probably cost 400 more but it will defnitely fast because of the i5 processor and 4GB ram...must control self
