What's the diff between Men vs Women version? Does it matter?
The obvious difference is in the frame shape. Women's style bikes are easier to get on and ride with a skirt/kilt, also probably somewhat less risky for man-junk if you slide off the seat or make a habit of leaping onto your bike like a tv cowboy.
Proportions between seat/bars/pedals might be different too, since men and women tend to have different leg/torso/arm proportions.
The women's style frame would also be structurally weaker than the men's diamond triangle frame shape, when everything else is equal, but in practice it probably doesn't matter.
Pacific bikes in general are very heavy, especially the ones with the rear 'suspension' frames. A lot of energy is wasted in moving that spring instead of turning the pedals, and the added weight of all of that doesn't help either. If you're going to drop $500 on a bike, and plan on doing some serious off-roading, then the rear suspension may be worth it, but generally it's a waste.
