If anyone is interested, I've got a Polk CS10 center channel for sale. Would go great with these Monitor 60's. Its in great condition, only used in the home theater for a few hours per week watching movies off and on for about a year. Works perfectly, I just decided to upgrade.

If anyone was considering M50s, spend the extra $50 and get these instead. Well worth it, especially if you have or are planning on getting a sub.
I picked up a pair last time for surrounds to my 70s. I didn't think surrounds could sound so good, but they're great, especially when i do 5 channel stereo mode. The extra $100 you save as opposed to getting the 70s will pay for more than half of the BIC F12. I wrote the review of the PSW505 vs. the BIC F12 on the slickdeals forum. The F12 is a much clearer sounding sub, but the PSW505 bumps and booms louder and similar volume levels. |

While I don't think you would regret getting the CS1, I do think that the CS2 is a much better speaker for the money. The thing is, with the center speaker you have 90% of the dialog coming through and it makes a big difference having a nice speaker...if you're going to skimp anywhere on a sound system the center and front speakers should be the last places to do it, IMO. What it boils down to (in my recommendation) is that the physical size should be the only reason to choose the CS1/CS10 over the CS2/CS20. I'm hopping off my soap box now. In case you were wondering...My $1k setup: Amp - Denon AVR590 Center - Polk CS2 Front: Polk M60 Rear: Polk M40 Bass: Polk PSW505 |

Very good speakers for the money. For those interested, just realize that they are a pretty bright speaker. Not shrill, just bright. The Infinity Primus speakers someone else posted in this thread will have a warmer sound.
Anyhow, really love my setup with the 60s/CS1/Bic F12. Now I just need to get a modern receiver and upgrade my rears (using old Yammys now). I'm using an ancient Onkyo for the time being. Older pic and ignore the mess. I still haven't built the doors for the media center and I usually have my grills on. Last edited by 4fit?; 11-13-2012 at 09:52 AM.. |

Fantastic! The M70's were a little too rich for my blood. Can't beat these for $99/ea.
Don't forget to use Discover to save an additional 5% on online purchases! Brings the price down another $5.00. Wife will literally shoot me when she sees these by the end of the week. Good bye satellites! ![]()
