Just wanted to get back with TV update. I have 2 news one bad and one good.
Good one is this TV comes with 2 year warranty. Included Limited warranty card says "Sonitronix (apparently they license Honeywell Avanza name) warrants this unit against defects in material and workmanship for period of 2 years for in home use and 90 days for commercial use" The other thing is then I was looking at the TV from the side I noticed it was a little curved, I put a straight edge against the screen itself and in the middle I have 1/8 th of inch gap. I do not know if the structure of the TV cannot handle the weight of the panel and the sides just flex down a little. The screen is a little bit curved. I never had thin LED Tv before so is it usual for big screen TV's sides to curve a little due to weight and gravity, I have TV tilted down a little. It does not affect the pic quality but I am afraid if one day it will be too much and LCD will crack. Is there some tolerance for flex on LCD panels? Is there some LCD specific forum I can ask that? Thanks |

Thinking about pulling the trigger on this TV before it is gone. For those that have received their TV, does this model have a universal remote code so I can use my Dish remote to control it? Reviews of another similar Honeywell model on HSN say it doesn't have a universal remote code.

So this is the true product page of the TV:
http://honeywellce.com/index.php?...cts_id=346 Apparently it is an LCD/LED tv. It didn't even say if it was edge-lit or something. Now I am thinking that we got all screwed by shady marketing. Also, it says it is 120MotionPLUS. what does that mean? Is it the same as the samsung clearmotion 120 which is actually 60Hz? Deyyym..... and we can't return this tv unless its defective.. |

QC is not their strong point.
The Energy Guide sticker is stuck so that some of it is wedged in-between the screen and bezel. Now I have small bits of paper sticking out. My unit also arrived with a chipped corner. The package came undamaged. Who should I complain to first? Hooked up to my DirecTV HD Receiver. The good news is that the TV's OSD says it's 1080i resolution; the bad news is that the TV's OSD says it's at 60Hz. Last edited by pseudoswede; 11-19-2012 at 06:37 PM..
