I have an HTPC with windows media center on it, but it's an ugly tank. If I can replace it with this device which I can access via laptop, etc, I'd rather do that! “Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?"

I think slingplayer solves one problem (watching your TV anywhere in the world) while this solves another (watching your TV anywhere in your house). I think you want a new slingplayer. |

i have both Directv and Charter Cable tv at my house, could i connect this device to either one of those signals and then watch live tv on my computer that are in rooms that do not have TVs? I'd mostly prefer to be able to hook this device up to my Directv signal so i could watch live tv (mainly Sunday NFL ticket) on any computer on my network. i'm not familar with TV tuners so the more info the better.

I have the Prime - couldn't be happier with the device.
Now - if I could find some way to encode and stream live over the internet, and watch on my phone or tablet - that would kick ass. I have a Slingbox, but would like to be able to cut them out of the equation. |
