Looks like a good number of sizes and widths left.

Product Information: New Balance Men 'MW978' Gore-Tex Boots, Brown, US 12
The New Balance 978 updates their 'go-to' rugged stability country walking shoe with GORE-TEX. It has been significantly remodeled from its predecessor, the MW977GT with improved fit in the forefoot and comfort experience, modernized cosmetic, and smoother transition. A Dual Density Collar foam and PU insert improve comfort and a re-configured Rockstop plate provides a smoother transition from midfoot through toeoff. The OL-1 last is similar to the SL-2 last with a narrow heel, high instep, deep toe box and wide forefoot

Be careful. Amazon reviews of the boot show real, almost universal sizing problems, split opinions whether it's too short or too narrow for the designated size or both. Some are saying order 1 half-size longer, some a full size longer, some a size and a half longer!

I once lost the nail off of my big toe (eventually) after doing a long trail descent in Merrell boots that were just a bit too short (despite being marked the size that had always worked fine for me in the past) - not really short enough to notice a problem in city wear or level hiking, but after an hour of going downhill I was in pain and knew I was in trouble. No amount of lace-tightening helped, and I had no choice but to keep going. Not something you'll forget soon. I ended up donating expensive boots to charity.

I've read all the reviews on Amazon, and my guess is that probably all the varied and contradictory reports on the fit in the reviews are each correct, and the sizing is just terribly inconsistent. Even the reviewers who love them usually admit that they are wearing a size unusual for them.

NB, NB (sorry) - this is one very easy way to kill your Internet sales right when everyone is shifting away from B&M. Stupid.

I was strongly tempted, but the reviews are just too bad.

While feedback of this vendor is good in percentages, they also have a pretty high number of complaints per month. I don't want to play the game of multiple returns with them.

I read the reviews on amazon. I purchased one a full size and a half bigger than I normally wear. I mainly will wear these for the fall/winter in dry/cold conditions. If the shoes are a little too big I'll compensate with a heavier/thicker sock. I also wear an orthotic insert.

Thanks OP.

Thanks, Savio. Great reviews, and fair money back policy for GoreTex.

^This. This is what I normally do with boots. Most boots I buy are usually this way and thicker socks makes a big difference.

I think the time I posted this, it was a daily deal so it might have gone up since. My best guess anyway.
