Thanks for setting off my deal alert - I have a dying Ryobi with a bunch of attachments and this model should be able to drive all of them. Bought one.

Maybe you will get mine that i returned to Lowes. The pull line came out after the 5th time using it. Because of the safety screws there is no way to get in there to recoil the line. Bad unit and very bad service. Their own people told me to take to a shop that hadn't dealt with Husqvarna in 5 years. Watch out.

I ended up getting the Hitachi they had for $180. Not as good a deal, but it looked like a much higher quality. Hope I don't regret spending the extra $27 for a 7 year warranty when buying new from the same company at Amazon.

I bought one of these refurbished from Northern Tool 2 years ago. I use it weekly, and it's been fantastic so far. Starts easily, runs great, and has lots of power. I've read that some people had problems with the recoil, but mine has been problem free. Maybe the refurbs got better recoils, or at least better rope? Not sure.

Reviews are far less favorable on Amazon. It seems many of the reviewers feel that this is a re-branded Poulan. I like Husky and the price is right but I will have to pass on this one. Thanks for your post and efforts. I appreciate it. I do believe the value of refurbs exceeds anything you may lose from not being "new".

The curved shaft version has gone as low as $69.99.

Anyone know what the difference is between the LD and CD version from the previous deal?

How does Husqvarna compare with Echo trimmers ? Are parts and service readily available ?

Almost bought one but the complaints in the Amazon reviews scared me off.

just make sure you use the hasqvama right off the bat and I would use it as often as I could for the 1st few weeks to make sure nothing is wrong with it and is going to hopefully last a long time...

I always read on the reviews on that site and its seems its 100% hit or miss... either your u get a great factory refurb'd unit and works great...or it looks like a teenager had some fun with your unit before it got to you - so its not in factory refurb condiditon thats for sure - its got the wrong blade, leaks oil, the pump doesnt work, wouldnt start etc... and many people fix it on their own or its a hassle to go to the repair service center...many didnt try their unit out right away (like a saw) and then used it like 2 months later when they needed to use it and well its past the 30 return or whatever and were screwed...thats on them...for not trying it before had, but still you buy a factory refurb you expect it to come ready to use...add fuel and oil and start it up...

the mixed reviews has put me off buying a few refurb'd things them.. paying $50 dollars for a newer unit is peace of mind in these things bc who wants to have to try to trouble shoot these little engines and units...or spend the 50 bucks in gas to and from the service dealer and wait 1 month for parts to arrive and 1 month for them to fix it...

so just FYI... not a thread crap or anything... Ill take gambles on chinese android tablets but have yet to jump on one of these deals... still get tempted, hence why I come in to these VM threads..

I enjoy my Hitachi, light weight and all. Think it's the same as Tanaka or something
