How does Husqvarna compare with Echo trimmers ? Are parts and service readily available ?
Generally speaking the echo line is higher quality. You generally don't see husqvarna trimmers being used commercially. Stihl and Echo are more your standard brands in that regard.

just make sure you use the hasqvama right off the bat and I would use it as often as I could for the 1st few weeks to make sure nothing is wrong with it and is going to hopefully last a long time...

I always read on the reviews on that site and its seems its 100% hit or miss... either your u get a great factory refurb'd unit and works great...or it looks like a teenager had some fun with your unit before it got to you - so its not in factory refurb condiditon thats for sure - its got the wrong blade, leaks oil, the pump doesnt work, wouldnt start etc... and many people fix it on their own or its a hassle to go to the repair service center...many didnt try their unit out right away (like a saw) and then used it like 2 months later when they needed to use it and well its past the 30 return or whatever and were screwed...thats on them...for not trying it before had, but still you buy a factory refurb you expect it to come ready to use...add fuel and oil and start it up...

the mixed reviews has put me off buying a few refurb'd things them.. paying $50 dollars for a newer unit is peace of mind in these things bc who wants to have to try to trouble shoot these little engines and units...or spend the 50 bucks in gas to and from the service dealer and wait 1 month for parts to arrive and 1 month for them to fix it...

so just FYI... not a thread crap or anything... Ill take gambles on chinese android tablets but have yet to jump on one of these deals... still get tempted, hence why I come in to these VM threads..
Totally agreed - my plan is to put it together and fire it up as soon as it arrives (which FedEx says *tomorrow* and I ordered it just a few hours ago - nice!)

Hopefully it won't snow and the neighbors think I've lost my mind.

Bought the 128CD -curved shaft refurb from VMInnovations at the beginning of the summer. Lasted for about 1 1/2 months then would not start. I opted to buy a brand new 128LD at lowes being as I already had attachments and could use the 128CD for parts if need be. The new 128LD has worked flawlessly for the rest of the summer. As a side note I only use 93 Octane and properly mix my two stroke. Point being these are hit and miss and I'm batting .500.

damn, I was seriously considering this just to power attachments but I think I'll pass. Not a pressing need as I also got one of those hitachi straight shaft trimmers earlier this year and it has worked out nicely. I wanted the husky to power a paddle broom, which supposedly this model will do. Will the Poulan that goes on sale every so often for $50 also power a paddlebroom? Thanks in advance
