the difference is yours isn't 120Hz and 3D like the OP one is. standard LCD's like that are 60Hz and non-3D. definitely worth an extra $40 for the extra Hz alone, the difference between 60 frames per second and 120 fps is pretty big once you've experienced it (dragging windows and moving the mouse cursor are a LOT smoother, not to mention games too if you have a video card that can keep up at 120fps). I wouldn't listen to the reviews about ghosting, they all do to some degree, and some people can be overly picky and critical. for this price range you can't expect perfection (the high end 120Hz/3D monitors are in the $700+ range, last I checked).

A really good one that I know of that is 120hz/3D monitors are the benQ monitors. However, they are in the $400+ price range.

Also, I cannot agree with you how much MORE smoother 120hz is compared to 60hz in everything that you do on windows.

To jump on it or not to jump on it. The choice is this or one of those Korean monitors a little farther down the line. No photo or video editing to be done on it.

The choice is obvious, right? This one in the lead by quite a bit?

Also, I have no intention of using the 3D, if that influences the decision at all.

I was almost sold, but the thing someone mentioned about 3D games not working with my AMD graphics card since its an NVIDIA monitor kinda sucks. XP Still seems like a good deal though otherwise, thanks OP.

This should be FP. The price difference between this and any other 120hz monitor is between 100-200%.

Tempting, but I really want to go 2x24" and that bezel is HUGE.
