Just to experiment, I tried the included SIM in my rooted/unlocked Samsung Infuse and my old unlocked LG CU500, and neither phone would recognize the SIM. Other SDers have been reporting successes, but maybe Straight Talk changed something about the SIMs included in their free phones to prevent people from doing this...

it has always been like that.. except for sims that come with 2 phones.. nokia e71 and nokia 69xx something.. now they started selling separate sims which you can put in your own phone..

medbuyer L4: Apprentice Member sinceJul 2012 Posts463 Reputation 100 Followers 1 + Give Rep	another newbie question about straighttalk... so having a 2GB cap on data, how will I know it's not using cell data when I'm on wifi? i got wifi at home and work so I can connect to those, and even some places I go to has it so I wanna make sure that when ever I use wifi, it's not eating my cell data cap.
