Not joking...In for 6 - $200 gift cards.. $960! Will probably be through them in less than a year. I run anywhere from 3,000-5,000 mi/year... 12-18mi/day 4-7 days/week so I go through running shoes all the time. Then there's the wife that runs with me, so we buy running shoes all the time.
We go through teens to 20 sum pairs of shoes per year avg 300-500 mi/pair. I like Brooks, but my brand of choice is Asics so the brooks restriction is fine with me. I've ordered so many pairs of shoes from running warehouse, i have enough of the Running Warehouse 5x5" decals to cover all the back windows of our 5 cars & every color of the reusable shopping bags to use a different one everyday for a month lol..It's like a compulsion.. I'm ordering & it's free so I get the sticker & reusable bag each time lol.. Great service, prices, fast free shipping & returns.. Love Running Warehouse! One thing I'd like to see is user accounts/logins with saved shipping address & cc info (like all other online places)...I hate having to enter those each time.. wow. 12-18 mi/day,
do you mind I am asking.. how long it takes you to run that crazy mileage every day? my goal is to be able to run 10 mi/day every day without injury.

You have to work up to double digits.. Don't obsess over the mileage, that comes naturally later.. Focus on proper form, breathing rhythm, pace/cadence & make sure you have the proper shoe type for your feet. Don't wait for the shoes to be totally worn or you're injured or feeling pain before changing shoes.. Depending on the shoe 300-400 mi, they're usually done for me.. some really nice shoes Ive gotten 500+ mi out of Asics Nimbus. I alternate several pairs of shoes & check off each day I ran & write the shoe model so I know the approximate mileage. Ill also write the date I started using them on the back heel raised part or inside under the insole so it doesn't rub off with usage...sole/tread wear.. Then depending on your daily mileage you can guesstimate when they're about done before you start feeling it in your feet, ankles, knees, etc... Most important is that you're comfortable, & you enjoy it. Don't focus on the mileage, if you're comfortable, pain free & enjoy running... The mileage comes naturally... |

Order $50+ (even just giftcards) and your order qualifies for a lot of the free and cheap goodies ($5 arm warmers, free decal, free bag, $3 socks, etc.)
Here's the slickest deal of them all....

I am somewhat wary of this place. Their sales prices are ridiculously good. Their 2-day free shipping and return. None of other bigger stores can do this but they can. I thought about buying $500 worth but if the go bankrupt, we become creditors holding nothing.

I need some help please I am a beginner runner and I am in need of a good heart rate monitor. I run about 5/6 miles daily. I have the Motoactv but its not accurate. Any good suggestion will be appreciated. I was looking into the forerunner 610, which is by the way a little more then I want to spend but the options it has are great.

No worries on this company surviving. They are the amazon of running and tennis (there is tenniswarehouse.com too) and are single-handedly killing a bunch of local running stores. I have spent $1000s of dollars with this company and they are absolutely stand-up in every way. Every order comes with a UPS label for return. Every order is 48 hours shipped. If you wear a pair of shoes for 40 miles and you hate them and send them back, they will take them back no questions asked. I have certainly taken advantage of the 90 day free return policy and never had any problems. They outfit most of the runners I know and from what I understand, a large portion of the competitive running community (high school and colleges, especially). They take items with ridiculous mark-ups and sell them at reasonable prices in large volumes (they don't carry whole lines from each manufacturer) with very little overhead. Needless to say, they get my endorsement.
I don't have any running stats to share as that would make me sound like a DB. |
