Im on the phone arguing with them now. Im so mad. They never updated the lightning deals terms to say you had anything less than 15 minutes to check out. Plus it was only about 1 minutes I just removed a store credit so I could pay in full with my cc and boom price changed

Can you please explain exactly how these deals work? I am just going to give you a brief description of how I think they work and can you just tell me if that is correct or not?

Basically you watch the timer until it says that it is on, then you click "add to cart." But just because it is not in your cart does not mean it is saved, you need to check out before everyone else with it in their cart. If you are too slow while it is in your cart you aren't going to get it. So you need to get it in your cart and CHECK OUT ASAP to get a good deal other people are after...correct?

And why is that? Judging from the reviews this TV is great for it's size and being under $1k - so I am just wondering why you think that -
$999 is the every day price st amazon. So paying tht is not a 'great deal', as you asked.
In the $1000 category, there are prob better choices. I'm no tv expert, but you can prob get a Samsung in that range. In the dedicatedvthread for that tv, they are speculating sam's club will have it again Sun for 698

You watch the timer till it hits 0 and a button will appear. You click "add to cart." If you are too late, you can be put on the waitlist.

Once it is in your cart, you have (normally) 15 minutes to complete checkout at your leisure. If you either remove it from your cart or the time limit passes, then the it is given up to the next person on the waitlist.

You do not need to checkout ASAP, just within the time frame. Thus you want to add it to your cart ASAP, and then you can think about whether you want it or not within 15 minutes.

Shockingly, I picked up a couple of 19" Coby TVs for $78 right off the bat without joining the waitlist. We needed a new TV for the kitchen and for a gift for a youngling.

Also, got the Panasonic 32" earlier for $189. I know that's not a steal compared to some of the other deals but this TV is going in the master bedroom and I wanted to have a nicer TV in there.

Um, that store credit is the Lightning Deals discount - if you remove it, you will pay full price. That's why the item shows as full price in the cart too for those wondering - the difference is shown as a promotional/store credit.

So without reading through 96 pages. I'm in the market for a decent sized bedroom TV 32-42" would be ideal. What options are still left here?
