Refurb Logitech Driving Force™ GT RB-941-000020X PS3/PS2 Gaming Wheel - Force Feedback, 900-degree Wheel Rotation, 11" Ruber-Overmold Rim, Pedals, Sequential Stick Shift $60

This wheel is a great one - I bought a new one off Amazon around this time last year for about $90 shipped. For $60 you can't beat it, especially with GT5 and NASCAR 2011. I haven't tried it with my PC yet, but it's supposed to be very good there, too.

My Dad cut out a piece of plywood for me to mount on a chair that I sit in, and we glued some padding on the bottom of the arms so it doesn't scratch the chair. You can secure the plywood to the chair with velcro straps, and that's an inexpensive way to secure the wheel to play and have fun.

Or you can spend $175 or more for some of the manufactured wheel/pedal mounts. That's a little much for me, so we resorted to the inexpensive versions.

I am tempted except that it looks like it needs to be hooked to a table.

Why can't they make a plastic extension that the user can slide under the legs to hold it steady?

It would cost more and probably wouldn't be that comfortable driving for prolonged periods. It'd also have to be adjustable to fit a wide range of player sizes.

I bought this wheel about two years ago refurb for around $75. It works great and never had a problem with it. The feel of the wheel and pedals are very realistic. I constructed a stand out of scrap 2x4's and a small piece of plywood to mount the unit to. Without the stand it is difficult to use the wheel in your lap. Also use this for the Nascar vid games.

I'd recommend this wheel to any GT fan,

seriously I remember buying it and I had to return it to pay some bills let's just say when I returned it I started to cry. :'-(
