Auto insurance-Splitting Up

My wife & I are splitting up after several year of marriage. Most of the bills/assets, etc are pretty easy to identify and separate. The hardest one is car insurance. We have 3 cars & 3 drivers on my policy. I've not had any claims myself in the past 8-10 years but my wife & minor step-child have. Would those claims stay with me on a separate policy or on the policy of the person who incurred the claim. I would actually prefer the claims stay with me so that she can get her own policy cheap enough to do this cleanly. Thanks
