Trashy? Specialized is being ridden by some dominating teams on the pro tour. Giant is chosen by smaller continental teams for their great performance & value on a budget. Certainly, there are crap bikes made in China but there are also plenty of good products coming out.

Please stop with this nonsense. The VAST VAST majority of BRANDED bicycles are made in Asia. The R5ca is the ONLY Cervelo made in North America. I guess that means the S5 and P5 are not "high end" and Garmin-Sharp wasn't riding "high end" frames during the TdF

Someone else asked about builds. CompCyclist does assemble and adjust the bikes, then takes off the wheels and handlebars and packs it up. Last bike I got took me maybe an hour to open the box, assemble, and clean up, and I am very picky about adjustments. Some people will buy a bike like this and go to their local bike shop for a "tuneup" for $70.

Treks are "trashy" too if you include the lower end models. You cant include the whole brand into the trashy model.
