i recieved one for my bday on year. i had to remove grout. it barely made a dent in it. returned it for the occilating tool. ymmv. just my own experience.

Looks like it might be a good tool, but this comment at Home Depot was pretty scary:

I don't know any clue about tools.

If it were me I'd much rather have the oscillating tool, especially if I already had a spiral saw. They're really different tools, with different applications, but I use my oscillating tool all the time and it does things a lot of other tools don't do well. I feel like the trio does a lot of things, so it's versatile, but doesn't really do anything really well.

Thank god it's dead! I has been debating all day long whether to jump on it. I read the reviews on Amazon people point out it's really weak to use as a router and its proprietary bits are overpriced. Other features I think it's nothing more than a lightweight jigsaw.

Now I can continue live my life!

I ran into the same issue on HD's website...something about the deal no longer being available online...yadayada.

I tried HD's 800# (800.430.3376) to make a last ditch effort to see if I can get an order through and the CSR took my order w/o a problem. Unfortunately, as a phone order, the option to save another $5 via PayPal was no longer available.

Still glad I got this unit. I have been eyeing it for a few months, ever since I saw a demonstration video showing all it can do. In the video, I believe it was demonstrated that it can do some things an oscillating tool can not....

I was lucky enough to get in on the $50 off $100 coupon, used it to buy the Dremel 4000 kit they sell and am loving it. $50 for that kit was a killer deal. After looking at videos I just dont see why I would need this over my 4000. Maybe the Trio does have more torque but I feel like I could do the same job with the 4000 so I passed.
