Very nice looking, but the ratio of bad to good reviews is a bit high for me to jump on it. Of particular concern is that there apparently isn't a whole lot of space for cable management, and that the USB 3.0 ports are prone to frying, taking out whatever peripheral is attached to them as well.

Yeah I was contemplating whether or not to get this...but then i remember my last 2 raidmax rebates got burned. Well, that was like 4yrs ago, so maybe they've gotten better? I wouldnt take my chances with a $30 rebate though.

I've never done a raidmax rebate. I hear they are bad. Anyone actually gotten theirs? If rebate comes this is a pretty good deal.
Great rebate Companies:
Patriot Memory (4myrebate.com): 6 Weeks Tiger Direct (4myrebate): 3 weeks Rain-X (in house): 3 weeks BAD BAD MAIL IN REBATE COMPANIES: Xigmatek 26 weeks, 14 emails, 2 phone calls (finally received) NZXT 21 weeks, 4 phone calls. Check that was finally received was dated 2 months earlier with a 90 day expiration on it, giving me about 25 days to cash it. Shady shady shady. |

I had to deal with raidmax for a rebate about 6 months ago. Didn't receive it, emailed them, generic response about if they didn't receive it they couldnt approve my rebate. I heard stories about them too, but took the chance.

Thanks for the comments about their rebates. I'm looking into building my first computer and was looking at some Raidmax stuff. Is there any other companies I should watch out for when it comes to rebates?

Well I bit, deal is too good. Considering sending the rebate certified mail or registered mail. Never done that before, anyone got any ideas?
Edit: Damn, certified mail for a letter is now $3 and registered is $11! From what I recall there is a way to get a tracking number first class mail for much cheaper. Don't remember how. +rep for any help! Last edited by MeatCatalog; 11-15-2012 at 09:48 AM.. |
