What's the contrast ratio on this?, I have a samsung 46 6000 series. For the price this toshiba is very tempting.

Thats like saying you're not getting a ferarri but instead getting a chevette, but at least it has a new stereo in it. There is a HUGE difference between 46 and 55. I couldn't even get a 50 because it was too small, the 55 much bigger.

There is a lot of quirks with this TV. Cold boot time is one (replug), brightness sensor is faulty-when a signal fade it try to turn off the TV or dim the display way down very annoying. WiFi won't keep settings, remote is slow sometimes for no obvious reason it just unresponsive, could be the dual core hang... big almost useless keyboard-prob just an afterthought.
It turn on faster than my iPad really-press the power button on the the remote and voila instantaneous picture on hot boot, great picture if it just keep my setting-just be dumb please Toshiba. New firmware seems to keep the settings for WiFi.
