Free Earbuds at Sony Stores -Must Download Shopkick app on iPhone or Android Devices & Check In

Went to the ValleyFair Santa Clara, CA Sony Store today and they said they ran out of the free earphones

Went to Roosevelt Field in NY and had to wait awhile for a register to open, when one did they told me to wait as they needed to serve customers first. While waiting for another register, some guy asked if I needed help and explained I was told to wait. He then spoke to a cashier and came back to me saying they ran out of earbuds and a shipment would be in on Tuesday. Told him that I was already told they would help me and no one indicated supply issues.

When I was finally at the register, I saw about 20 pairs on a rack behind the register in blue, purple and red.

Pissed about my experience in the store - being fed bullshit and their employees in general are not as pleasant or helpful as Windows or Apple store. Not ONE person asked me for help while looking in the store asides from after a 15 minute wait on line. This earbud promotion didn't entice me to come back.

I did the same thing at Best Buy. Two of the cameras were behind glass and asked a couple people to open it just to scan. They said they needed a manager and didn't seem to want to ask for one. So I said thanks and then went to the iPad section. I thought of what you posted, so thanks. Not a fan of doing that but you're right.

What you can also do is ask an employee to print a large shelf tag that has the QR tag for you to scan. It's a PITA and wastes their employees time, but if Best Buy can't put out the tags for the items that they are PAYING to promote, then I'm fine with it. Scanning off a computer is faster though.

I went there yesterday and they guy pointed me to where the ear buds were they had green, white, black, red, purple.

the one in las vegas was asking for a code but i didnt have one eventually after he played around with the shopkick app he took my name and gave me a pair. only had black and pink
