Its not that heavy. My previous camera was a 40D, ever since I got the 60d it feels like a plastic camera.

reviews indicate the new stm lens is slightly better. probably not enough to make a noticeable difference though.

Actually, the T4i has faster access to settings/controls and unique ways to focus through its touchscreen. I'm not a fan of touchscreen, but even I have to say that it's pretty useful.

I spent a long time debating between the 60D and T4i, and the latter won for me. The 60D is outdated and reaching the end of its life, whereas the T4i has the potential to be much better if Canon is able to update its firmware, especially with that DIGIC 5 processor.

At the moment, however, both cameras have the same image quality, which is the basis of comparison. Everything else (features) is just based on preferences; both have their pros and cons. No one can really make a general statement and say T4i > 60D or 60D > T4i. Determine your needs first, then find a camera that fits for you.

I'm not seeing how the t4i has faster access to controls. touch screen shooting? sure if you're composing landscapes, but if you are using a DSLR, there's a good chance you're using it for fast response, and touch screen is not fast, given how slow the t4i focuses in live mode.

How do you control BBAF with the t4i?

changing manual controls with the 60D should be easier.... no need to take your eye off of the viewfinder.
