Update: added a screenshot to original posting for those having trouble getting Amazon to price match. It's important to point out that you must reference the ad in the top right corner of the page and call out "page 6" where that image was captured from and it clearly states it's in-store only and the PM team should contact the store on their own to verify the price and match it (at least according to a rep earlier on Amazon Customer Service chat).

As far as Best Buy goes - it appears a few people (including myself) have had success in having Best Buy price match this. Mind you, I also didn't have a Fry's around me but because there were no stores within a 50-mile radius that had it in stock regardless (50-mile radius applies to the store that has it on sale) - they went ahead and price matched it and setup free shipping and delivery as well. Now the big decision - to wall mount or not mount, that is the question!

This one is edge-lit too. Chances are if it is a really thin tv, it is edge-lit.

Wasn't this TV on sale at Fry's for $799 back in August? This is $100 more.

Also, is the Netflix promo still active after the rampant abuse that occurred a week or two ago which finally resulted in the 2 massive threads being deleted from SD? I wanted to find out what Netflix and LG decided to do about the abuse (i.e., let those accounts survive or cancel them), but that's not possible when all threads were deleted. Amazingly there were no stories about what happened (like on the Consumerist) on any other websites either via a Google search.

Amazon wouldn't PM for me since I do not have a local Fry's within 50 miles.

I planned on printing the ad out..but since the real price/local price isn't listed online how should i have the assoicate verify (i asked this cause 90% of the time the associates at my store are kinda clueless). Should i write down the fry's sku or upc # along with fry's customer service # so they can call? How did they verify for u guys who had no local stores to call.

I did not have any issue with PM to a frys that was located in GA and I was 2 states away. Point out that they are allowed to PM reputable internet websites, which does not have a physical brick and mortar store then why not PM a store regardless the distance.

To help my fellow Oregonian out....... The Fred Meyer deal is ok but not great..... look at the ad, there are only 5 per store.

Two weeks ago Frys had the LG 55LM6700 on sale for $889...... It was a way better deal, and the LM6700 is a stunning looking TV.

Be patient.... I bet Fry's will have the 55LM6700 back on sale in about 30 days..... and I am going to bet they have it on sale just before Christmas for $799 (or some package deal IE: TV + Blu-Ray)

I have been waiting for this TV to go back on sale, preferably with a bundle, but today I tried to pull the trigger through BB and Amazon. Both efforts were unsuccessful when they refused to match the price. BB because I don't have a local Fry's (local BB didn't have it in stock) and Amazon because they will only match online prices.

Oh well....hopefully my patience will be rewarded in the coming week(s).

Bjs has a similar model for $850, main difference I can tell its 120 instead of 240hz which I don't think makes a difference. Plus on black Friday it will be $700 with a sound bar included. Lg 47lm6400
