If you want another overpriced device that will be sitting in your closet, accumulating dust a year from now, Nintendo will gladly take your money. Don't be a sheep!
My Wii has never collected dust, and was always the go to party console, and the Wii U is already receiving reasonable 3rd party support, plus if you ever want a First party Nintendo game, you need their consoles. Nintendo doesn't have a sheep follower mentality yet, although I do hope that the WiiU's catalog ends up a bit more substantial. (My PS3 is currently my go to personal console)
