nopes its perfectly alright IMHO. Just don't bring the coupons until he/s PM'ed .. as soon as its pm'ed give him the 20% off or the 5 off 25. btw, I didn't apply 20% as I wasn't aware of that so I only aplied 5 off 25 that's out there this week so I'll change the OP as I also believe that the two coupons 5 of 25 and 20% may not stack.

on a sidenote, if you read the red text technique you can still save the $15 by integrating the two threads

All 3 staples in my city will not price match to any online vendor except staples.com. Even then i've been denied because some of the prices on staples.com say "internet special only".

Good luck but this is extremely YMMV. Since is a no go for me, thumbs down.

third, the 5 off 25 is from the emails they sent out to everyone. and you can use either the 20% or 5 off - am not sure if they will stack as I didn't use the 20%.

try it next time armed with their PM policy and I don't see a reason why you should have a hard time. they just make sure the product is same and is shipped/sold by amazon.com

well I asked the manager hey you price match right? he said to whom, i was like amazon he was like sure we do. i may have been lucky but I got this deal with no hassle whatsoever and hence shared it with the community ... so may be if people wanna take a try at it by all means, its a good price for the item ..

as a matter of fact, he printed the amazon price page and kept it in his register as a proof of PM'ing. he said he's supposed to keep the record of price match original source, in this case amazon product page with $99.99 price

Don't get all butthurt because the deal you posted is YMMV. Hey i'm glad it works for you in your local staples store. For me in my city staples does not PM any store except staples.com and only SOMETIMES. If I can't replicate the deal it isn't a deal. Simple as that man.

BTW I don't think its against SD policy to say "get a coupon on ebay for $1.99" so just say that in your post. And not everyone got a $5 off $25. I'm premiere and did not get it.

$75 is a good deal if you can get it. I've been looking at the same phone system. It's going to be $79.99 at Staples on BF (after $50 Easy rebate), however, so I've been looking at coupons on Ebay that would make it even a better deal. Many of the current coupons on Ebay expire 11/17 unfortunately, and can be used for on-line or phone orders only, but there are a few that expire after BF. I think buying on-line or via phone on BF is probably the best thing to do anyway, instead of hastling with the store and the possible whim of the cashier.
I've never heard of the Staples GC deal (red text above), so I'll have to look into that too.

yea, the red text deal is simply where you buy $100 Visa card from Staples and do a $15 SER on it potentially making it $85 for you (I think there's a $6 activation cost) so factor that. and now you can basically use that Visa card to make your purchase of the phone. good luck , let us know if you're able to get it

thanks for your comment. I didn't realize about the PM thing, for me it was simply asking and them saying of course! so I got on to the deal as I also had rewards to use and posted it so others could benefit as well.

You are very correct. My Staples B&M stores are pretty strict on coupon usage and PM'ing. Even if you could get them to PM Amazon, adding all the other coupons on top is a guaranteed no in my area. The employees always call the managers and the managers always read the fine print of every coupon hoping and praying to see the words "not valid with other discounts or promotions" or "limit 1 coupon per transaction" so they can deny you, and most coupons have those words on them. The PM is considered a discount/promotion.

I have 20% off coupons from back in October with end of November expiration dates, but last I heard they expire on the 17th. I still haven't used a single 20% off coupon at Staples in the last month because I haven't bought anything there because their sales have been sucky lately since the FAR items and free battery deals ended.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll try this, as it seems like a sure thing. The negative is that I have to go into the store to buy it, but for $9 back per $100 I guess it's worth it. Combining this with a $25 off of $75 (or $100) coupon on BF would make this phone systems about $46 (after the Easy Rebate, but not including the cost of the coupon), a very sweet deal indeed.
