It only excludes gift certificates, gift cards and Not eligible on Video Game Consoles or Skylanders Spyro products. Would it stack with this?? I hope it does to make it even more slicker since $499 is the regular price of this item.. Last edited by raju_77; 11-16-2012 at 12:56 AM.. |

I have a Nexus smartphone, and got the Nexus 7 32GB from Staples, but I only took one to try it out. I'm not sure if I want to keep the iPad Mini, or the 7, but one of them will go. But okay, hate away. I dislike Apple's prices, but you can't deny that the App Store apps selection are significantly ahead of Android's. Blah blah, Android hardware is cheaper, etc. Android fanboy ad hominem. I know the pros and cons of both sides. Last edited by Reach; 11-16-2012 at 01:30 AM.. |

. They are getting better, but tull have a long way to go compared to their competitors (I don't count Nexus, they have an advantage being joined at the hip with Google). For Android tabs, I would have to say my Asus tabs are my fav for features, price, and build quality (the prime issues with the antennas was a bump, but they fixed it) and they are pretty fast at putting out the upgrades too. That is probably why Google chose them as a partner for new stuff instead of Samsung or someone else, not including backroom politics .Ya, I didn't read anything to predict that. Jobs was a mad scientist, anal, genius. When they fired him, they went down the tubes, when they brought him back, they went from mediocre to awesome as far as the strength of their business. IO they will be LUCKY to just be a good company without Jobs. They didn't make many people like Jobs, RIP . I am not an Apple fan-boy (I am just a geek and electronics fan-boy in general), but I can recognize crazy like a fox genius visionary when I see one. Thinking back to the iPad release (and the iPod before it, and the iPhone in the middle, while those ideas were not original, Jobs pushed Apple to make them as perfect as possible, and as a consequence, he turned niche markets into mainstream explosive business. RIP . Thinking about the iPad specifically, upon announcement, everyone was making fun of it as a huge iPhone with no phone, predicting it as a dude, etc., and nothing further from the truth could have happened, the tab market just EXPLODED. It wasn't the first tab, and I am sure the marketing analysts (that had the cajones) probably warned him to invest so much in the R&D, etc. was a huge risk based on previous attempts and failures from other companies.. and not worth taking, and if that did happen (I will bet on it) good thing he didn't listen!Regardless, I think that Job's influence and pipeline projects are still there, so Apple probably has at least another year or two of releases driven by Jobs' ideas... but after that, not sure who will take the "make an idea perfect and create entire new segments" position that Apple enjoyed for so long. I have laptops, mp3 players (mini tabs nowadays), tabs, etc. from many suppliers. and they all have their pro's and cons, which is why I hav eyet to settle. Someone mentioned above that the apple store dominates when it comes to apps, and that may be true in quantity, but not sure about quality. Plus, from what I have seen for some reason it is common to see the same app cheaper in the Android app stores, and with Amazon's app free a day, I have amassed hundreds of Android apps, some of them quite good. I have gotten several free Apple AppStore free apps too, but a lot of those aren't really "free", they are just a gateway to make a crapload of in game purchases, he Facebook game business model, which I HATE. Even pay games have that crap. When I buy a game, I want THE WHOLE thing, not a crippled (as far as capabilities and "artifact") that I have to pay for to rectify. Android has some of those to, but with Apple it seems to be the rule vs. the exception :/. The ONLY benefit to the change in leadership (which IMO is a mistake from Apple's business perspective" is their almost immediate change in business approach). Before, Apple rarely discounted current gen items, and if you wanted a release date item, you had to stand in line for hours at a store to get it, and I am sure there was some supply control to keep demand high. With Jobs no longer tuning the show, that changed overnight. I pre-ordered my iPad 3 online and t showed up on my doorstep over night, and relative to before, finding sales on current gen Apple stuff is much easier than it used to be. Given how successful they were with their old model, I don't know why they screwed with it, but whatever, fr a little while at least consumers benefit, at least until Apple fades into mediocrity (basing that statement at what happened to them after jobs left last time and they almost went bankrupt and had almost no market share in any major consumer market). I hope this time around that does't happen for their and their stock holders stake, and for our (consumer) sakes as well, I think that Apple created a bar that had every level of the competition's companies scrambling to met, from NVidia to the tab manufacturers, etc. I assumed that jobs had a protege that he was trying to dump his genius into, but with all of he changes, it doesn't look like it took :/. Plus Jobs kept the peace within the egos. Cook just fired an ego.
LOL, I read that Jobs sometimes did not lock his house. Unfortunately a jerk read that and ripped off the house. Jobs was one in a million but should have heeded conventional medicine. On his death bed, I read that his last words were, "oh wow".
