Wireless Connectivity
I just got wireless internet from AT&T. I ordered the AT&T Elevate 4G. The device says that it has 4 bars and 4G service but my connections run blazing fast one minute then get Connection timed out errors the next.I have it hooked to my desktop via USB. Is there a way to connect it wireless to the desktop? Also my computer shows two other Network Connections: 1394 Net Adapter and Realtek family PCI fast ethernet. Everytime I uninstall when I reboot they reinstall. Could one of these somehow be used with this device? Please Help!! Got to get this straight before my 2 week buyer remorse passes.

Try reinstalling your driver for the device...
It could be that the device itself is defective, though. I think ATT has a tech support line for these devices, and while not always the most pleasant experience, you could give them a shot too. simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

The Realtek Family PCI Fast Ethernet adapter is the network card, probably built into the motherboard, of your desktop. In either case, leave them alone as they have nothing to do with your Elevate 4G. Now my question is, what are you trying to do? Connect the Elevate 4G to local Wifi on your wireless home network? Or are you trying to tether your desktop to your 4G and giving your desktop receive internet connection via your Elevate 4G? |

I had two coworkers here that did tethering like that and AT&T basically shut that down and threatened to cut off service it they detected it across their network. They're with Verizon now.

I have the Elevate 4g it is for a Desktop and Laptop. So I'm not doing anything wrong that is what it is for.
I noticed when I right click the connection and click repair it works fine for a few pages then I have to do it again. What could this mean?? |

Yea that is enabled already. Think I stumbled upon what it might be. My desktop is sitting right beside my TV with Satellite. I read on a site that this could interfere with signal. When I moved away from this on my tablet it works perfect with Excellent strength. Now my question is: I don't really have another place to put my desktop is there some way to make my desktop wireless (wifi) compatible until I can get a laptop??
