eBay's audience is approximately 50,000,000 potential buyers.
I will gladly accept the 14% fee of having access to the largest auction buying site in the world, if it means that someone wants to buy a pair of retro Roller Skates that I found outside my garage for $90 shipped.

Every situation has it's advantages and disadvantages.

There is a REASON why they are the biggest.....even if they are sort of (mostly) evil.

ebay fee max at 9% if you do auction, lower if you do buy it now
paypal fee is 3% + 29cents per transaction.
total is still alot.
but then again, I would be willing to the comission for things I couldn't otherwise sell. (no CL)

ebay fee: 11% if buyer "buys it now", regardelss if your listing is fixed price or auction with bin option
paypal fee: 2.99% + 30 cents per transaction

Additional bs:
ebay fee: 10% of shipping charges paid by buyer
paypal does NOT refund the 30 cents fee, if your buyer is an idiot who asks for a refund....for whatever reason... and you GOTTA give him a refund, because if you don't, a single user that bought 4 items from you can cause your ebay account to be limited to 15 listings per month, IF that buyer rated you 1 or 2 stars, on 4 transactions.... so you're pretty much done on ebay, just because of 1 idiot.

That's how much of a SLAVE you are ...selling on ebay.... but most buyers have no idea of all this.

buy it now with auction function charged at regular rate.
buy it now only listing is charged at lower rate.
shipping charge is part of regular ebay fee because sellers was abusing it by making item $1 and shipping several hundred.
if your buyer is not satisfied, even if its his fault you work with him until both sides are satisfied. if you simply said "too bad you didn't read listing and refuse to help, then you deserve 1,2,3 star.

I've sold tens of thousands on ebay, several hundred thousand on amazon, I know.

All other categories [ebay.com]: 11% (fixed price = buyer clicked on buy it now)

that's only if you want to sell something unusual, 95%+ of things falls under one of other categories.
and only for items under $50
and also a non-buy it now style listing.

I have done purchases with Paypal (~5 transactions). As per paypal's statement, the first cash back amount would be credited on 26th Nov, second is on Dec 18th and last is on Jan 30 2013. But i didn't get any.

Any people got the cash back?

Did anyone got the cash back ?

I haent' gotten any chase back either.
