How does the fuel discount system work as far as 3 separate transactions for the gift cards, plus food??

i.e. if I amass 1400 points ($1.40) today in 4 separate transactions, does that all go to one fillup?

And, if I get 1400 more points tomorrow, should I fillup BEFORE shopping tomorrow so it will apply to the next fillup?? Is that how it works???

I bought $450 worth of Amazon gift cards with my AMEX Blue Cash Preferred (6% cash back at grocery stores), and got $75 off $150 in grocery coupons which I then used.
