They are paid by/thru Amazon not the seller. No charge until shipped. Amazon is one of those places where it's better to try than pass. If it's canceled prior to ship, you're not out anything and every once in a while you will get a gift card or something as an apology for yanking your chain. If it ships and the quantity is wrong or something you have a fair chance at getting it for free because it's a PITA for Amazon to pay to ship it back and go thru all the hoopla involved. Then of course is the rare but awesome "shipped anyway" where you get a little bit of awesome on your doorstep at a price that makes you better than everybody else.  Any other merchant and I'd say screw it, but it pays to give it a go more often than not with Amazon. I wouldn't want to be a marketplace vendor with Amazon. They get the short end of the poo covered stick with Amazon. FWIW I have never had an Amazon refund take more than a couple of hours to appear on my debit/credit card the few times I have put in for a refund. |
