Invicta Men's 9937 Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Swiss Automatic Watch
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...00_s00_i00

This is the cheapest I've ever seen this, per ccc. I had my price alert at $250 and this is even less than that. Is has the SW200 movement and has coin-edge bezel. It is an homage piece to the Rolex submariner. The lesser comparable one is the 8926 OB [amazon.com] which goes for about $80. Here is a comparison of the two. http://www.timeasitis.com/2010/07...-8926.html I was going to get the 8926, however for $225, I grabbed the 9937.

Nice review here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09j8zVLmN8g

I love their inflated MSRP. If I want a submariner I buy one and not something that is probably only worth $50.

Yeah, if I was a baller. i'd probably drop 6k on the Rolex, but i'm not apparently, so $225 fit my budget. Thanks for your valuable opinion. FWIW, this watch is as close to the real deal without being considered a knock off, as they don't pretend to be. They clearly have their brand name on the sides and on the face.

After reading all "1 star" reviews I think I'll pass.

I stay away from Invicta watches. I've never, ever, seen one sold in an actual store. I've only seen them online. Maybe they are in stores but I've never seen one. They are always on Groupon Goods or 1saleaday and sites like that. This watch was designed with an exceptionally high MSRP and meant to find "deals" like you did, when in fact, even at that price, the watch company and the store still make a killing.

It amuses me how many people come into Invicta deals just to shit on them.

I've had a 8926C for three years now, which I bought from chronoshark for ~$50. It has never been cleaned, I wear it every day and it still works just fine.

With the majority of the 1-star reviews, it's obvious that the owner:
- Did not tighten down the crown after setting time, leading to water damage
- Assumed the crystal could take more punishment than it in reality could

Yes, if you accidentally grind the edge of your crystal against a rough concrete surface, it will chip.

These are cheap automatics with decent movements. Put a NATO strap on them and they double in coolness.

Just to clarify, I'm not crapping on the watch. Just the Invicta so called "deals" - They are a dime a dozen and NO WAY do they actually sell watches that are worth $1000+ - they have an inflated MSRP so deal sites and such could make it seem like your getting a steal. They have no in-store presence which should tell you something. I think sites like slickdeals and fatwallet and all other deal sites should automatically not allow any posts with the word Invicta in the subject line because unless you paid sub $20, it's NOT a slick deal. Even groupon has sold them for $25 time and time again.

There is a big difference between this watch and the $25 one you get a Costco/BJs or Groupon. Do the research.

I might purchase a Invicta if they didn't copy the classic design of Rolex Submariner and the logo of Breitling.

I think I bought the same deal for 8926C and it's a POS sitting somewhere in my house. The crown trips and no way to screw in tightly. I tried the teflon tape to hold it down and I have to redo it every time I need to adjust time or date. And it's running fast like 10 seconds per day. Tried to contact Invicta and you know the answer ...

Bought an Orient and never look back, it's like a Benz compared to Pinto.

It is the price you pay for workmanship by the horologists at Rolex or any high end swiss timepiece company. Invicta is a very very cheap brand, very clumsy and poorly made. Rolexes also hold their resale value very well and if it is a limited edition, you may be able to sell it for more than what you paid for. Same applies to Vacheron Constantin, Patek Phillippe, Audemars Piguet or Piaget. Now not bashing on folks who have Invictas and love them... just my opinion.
