For this thread as well...
http://www.tclusa.com/products/le...df3300zta/ You can download the user manual for this TV as well though this site. On page 22 it states the refresh rate as:

|
|
https://tcl-django.s3.amazonaws.c...300_UM.pdf Page 7 shows the HDMI inputs as being 720p/60Hz, 1080i/60Hz and 1080p/60Hz. I am not sure if 240Hz should have a different "look" than 60Hz (like the soap opera effect) but mine does not. The only place I see 240Hz mentioned is Amazon.com. |

I am not sure if this TV is 240Hz and I am also not sure if it matters to me at this point. I recently purchased a Toshiba 50L2200U and it is 60Hz and I don't see any of the pixelation I used to see on my 5-year old 60Hz Samsung LCD. I really don't see too much of a difference in the picture quality of the TCL and the Toshiba. My .02. |

I was back and forth between this and the Toshiba (which was available via Best Buy premier silver) but decided to go with the TCL for the refresh rate. Having the higher refresh rate for what can support it would be nice. |

Hey so I've had this TV for about a week and bought it at $479. I've had a few HDTVs from a Sony Wega 1080i CRT that still works from 2006 (little blooming but what can I say) a 51" Samsung Plasma 1080p from late last year and a couple other not so notable HDTVs and I have to just mention that this is better than all of them. Crisp picture, very little to no bleed, bright colors and surprising blacks. It is a 240hz nat for sure because I get no picture lag on my Xbox or Blu Rays. I was unsure about the brand but I am definitly sold on this TV. Pull the trigger on it for any price that seems good under $500. Very Happy.

I've emailed amazon and here is their reply ..

I don't know about you guys, but I was really considering this when I saw that it was $479/429 with 240hz, I love the soap opera effect and my current 47LM7600 that I can still return has a great 240hz. If there really isn't a soap opera effect in the TC, then it's probably not the right one for me.
Also, CCC never showed the price at $429. Not doubting OP with all his proof, but it's rare that CCC didn't catch it. |
