I was burned by Newegg on motherboard purchases so bad that I will never buy motherboards from them again.
The sound out was not working on the board, I RMAed and hoping for a new board, read below carefully:
The RMA shop intentionally damaged the pins and denied my RMA for "Physical damage caused by customer". The pins were PERFECT when I sent it in and upon getting the bad board back, I tried to bend them and you have to use a tool to get the pins out and bend them. There is NO way the pins were bent during shipping.
This is my first hand experience and I am SO MAD at newegg RMA to turn to such low-level tactic to deny RMAs so they don't have to send a new board.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PICTURE OF THE SOCKET BEFORE YOU SEND IN FOR ANY RMAs, Newegg 's RMA dept is run by CROOKS. You'll thank me later.
Got this mobo- it made sense mostly just because I also needed the RAM and had shoprunner. There is not too much benefit from getting the ASRock Extreme3 though IMO if you aren't going to SLI, as there are cheaper Mobos with similar feature sets for slightly less with no RAM included, no SLI but also have USB 3.0, HDMI and Sata 6Gb/s for about $70. But if you are building a new comp and need the whole shebang- it's not a bad price.
For those who are buying this to go with your Microcenter 2500k, check and ask at microcenter first.
The Microcenter in Minneapolis bundled this proc with a MSI Z77A-G41 for an extra $50 and a $20 MIR. So Out the door about $160 and $140AR. Reviews aren't the best for the board but for $30AR, I think it was a steal.
