Good price but too heavy for my wife to haul up and down the stairs. She may make me vacuum for this very reason. Skip
By the way Fry's has the DC26 refurbished for $170. I may go with that. Does anybody has any experience with the DC26?

Warning. Bought two of these same units from the same vendor last time they had this deal. One for myself and one for my girlfriend. Both units brush heads were no longer functioning after about 30 minutes. Warranty covers all expenses. Units were out for 4 weeks being repaired. Also, dyson only warranties for 6 months. The remaining time is through the seller, which does not have free shipping.

I bought this the last time they had this deal. Absolutely love the DC41. My girlfriend has a small dog so I wanted the 41 over the 40 for the suction power. Comes packaged great with original paperwork and stickers. I would have thought it was new honestly. Best vacuum I've ever used and much cheaper than retail. Haven't had any issues.

Bought one and wish me lucky with this baby for the next 5 years, was originally considering a Miele

bought one from a place i work. we have a small apartment but got it for the future. it is awesome, quite disgusting the amount of stuff it picked up that the other one (windtunnel) didn't. just got the allergen and pet set from amazon for added accessories. it is awesome.

and imo cord re-tractors are great in theory but a solid thought is why wouldn't an engineer made vacuum have them? they add weight and break eventually which leads to maximum annoyance.

and speaking of weight, this is very heavy if you have stairs, but maneuvers very easily on carpet despite that weight.

You are correct, it was that model. However, the model you mentioned doesn't have the switch to turn the brushes on/off when vacuuming on wood floors vs carpet. The PET version does have the switch and imo is worth the extra 20 bucks or so.

I bought an extra one of these that I don't need and would need to return if anyone is interested in picking it up locally I can give it to you for cost $290, located in Brighton, MI. PM if so, thanks!

Bought it anyway (overlooked the retracting power cord). I needed a powerful vac for w/ my collection of animals & kids.
I love it!
Works great on animal hair etc. Attachment for steps works great too.
It looks brand new except for a little scuffing on the wheels... which I would do anyway in a matter of days!
