You can't check your promotional balance in any way other than adding a big item and seeing how much is taken off. If you missed the initial email from Amazon you wouldn't know.

I guess you did have promotion credit not knowingly. It applies to all items sold by Amazon LLC. sadly, you could have used it prob for another item rather than buying 4 earbuds.

Did you, by chance, sign up for an Amazon.com Rewards Visa? I tried and they were $5.99..when I went to checkout, it said that they could be $0.00 if I applied for an Amazon.com Rewards Visa (I would get a $30.00 gift card).
