Office Depot: Nexus 7 32GB - $199/ 16GB $159 with pricematch to Radioshack YMMV

This is a hit or miss deal, I called and got rejected, plus its not technically supposed to work because

"We will not match the other store's mail-in rebates nor will we deduct the value of any gift with purchase."

any tips on what I can say to make the store honor the promotion?

Tell them it's not a MIR, its a coupon you receive via email right away. MIR will give you cash, the coupon does not have any "cash value".

isn't the promotion basically a gift with purchase, plus they said I the nexus have to be available in-stores at Radioshack not online.

Just got this deal.

Came with a print-out of the Radioshack ad and had the Office Depot price-match guarantee on my phone. Showed them the ad, asked them if they could price match, as the manager read it, I just read the price match policy which says they deduct it from the price.

The manager (young guy) said, wow, that's $50 bucks. Yeah, I can do this for you. Then the girl at the register gasped, "So he basically just got a 32GB for a 16GB price..."

Easy. Awesome. $218 after tax. My folks live in Oregon and did not want wait Black Friday for it for $230 at OD. And figured if it does go on sale Cyber Monday or after Christmas, it won't be more $50, so might as well get it now.

I wouldn't call in the first place. Also, it is not a mail in rebate like the other poster said.

Worked for me. I followed OP instructions and went to store with printouts. Manager read the Radioshack ad and told cashier to take off $50. I didn't need the filler although I had one in my hand. $199 + tax.

Just called OD.. THEY DO NOT PRICE MATCH WITH RADIO SHACK

I just tried at my local Office Depot; no luck. The employee on the floor said he'd do it, but had to get his manager's approval first.

The manager came and took a look at the ad and was about to authorize it, but he noticed that Radio Shack will email the coupon to the customers, not hand them a physical copy. He said coupons by email fall under the same category as coupons by mail, so he couldn't approve it.

Oh well. I'll live.

I considered that but the way things were going it took quite a bit of convincing to get them to do it for me, I didn't want to push my luck.
