A Few Newegg BF Deals Revealed on Facebook $49.99 SSD, nvidia 650 gtx $69.99 + Others

Hmm still waiting to see some deals on 7870 and 7850. Retailers never show video cards in black Friday ads which stinks. It's always console this and console that. I don't understand why Newegg is showcasing a 650 for black Friday... It's such a weak card.

Hi, thank you for that heads up. I appreciated the other advice but I didn't buy any graphics card yet.

As far as budget goes. I can get about anything i need; I just don't want to go overboard and get parts ill never use to maximum potential. You are correct about the games. I just want to able to play games such as battlefield 3 with no hiccups or anything. Does not have to be top of the line or anything just something for casual gaming and work.

The only thing I have bought so far is the Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W which was a deal recently. And I think Im going to go for the Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower ATX Case that is like 45$ at frys right now unless you convince me in the next hour!

But hey thanks for the heads up. I definitely want to do it right so I dont have to reship and buy new parts!

The Nine Hundred is a great case for the price. I hope you got in on that while it was still in stock. That's a solid PSU--good choice. I'm running the Neo Eco 620C currently. What are you doing for the mobo & CPU?

I'd go with Microcenter and, hopefully, some sort of bundle there if they have one and you live nearby. Obviously, the $99 i5-2500K would've been the best thing in the world for you, but that's a tough deal to get in on.

I just realized that I guess that's only for the 1GB version. But with the 6950, the 1GB version was exactly equal to the 2GB version...unless you're playing a more than one screen. http://www.tomshardware.com/revie...41-15.html

Thanks for the reply. If i were to buy a 7850 i would at least want the 2GB OC version. The Farcry 3 coupon is great, hopefully Newegg will have a good BF selection.

If you want a 2GB version, there's nothing wrong with that (as it may be relevant in future games). But as a price/performance comparison to the GTX 650, I think the 1GB version accomplishes that point. And for today's games, I doubt you'll even be able to benchmark a benefit at 1080p.

I'd just like to mention my 240GB vertex 2 has been running very well as an OS drive for a machine I built a few months ago. It's a small timeframe to vouch for, but I've seen no problems. I'd take Intel or about any other brand over them, but "bad" is a relative term I think.

Hey, unfortunately I couldn't place an order earlier and and had to work all day. Now the Case is for instore pick up only and there is no frys near me! Same with microcenter; I saw that deal for the cpu but there is no microcenter for hundreds of miles...So Im still on the look out for basically everything! I have a better feel for what to look for though. Thanks for saving me the time and energy of friging up!

anyone know how well the 650 would run as a dedicated PhysX Card? I've been looking for a cheap 460 to run in a hybrid setup with my ATI card, but deals are hard to come by

Depends on what ATI card you have and CPU plus factoring in if you are overclocking at all. Thats on top of having all the proper PCI-e connections.

i assume you needed an older nvidia card to use the hybrid phsyx drivers since they are so old. Am i mistaken? Any extra info would be appreciated..
