Are these regular 3.5" SATA drives inside the enclosure? i.e., if I buy 4 of them can I stick them in a Synology rack?
Also, how long is the warranty valid for? Can I return the bare drive if it fails? |

Bought 1, $108 after tax with Amex, which would be the same as Costco... minus the return policy.

I mentioned this once before in another thread. I'd be very hesitant to return any drive, even just 90 days later, after using it and having a bunch of personal information on it. The reason you're returning it is because it probably crashed and you can't get it started. That doesn't mean it can't be repaired and refurbished, all the while having someone else see your information, cookies, data files, etc. |
