The coupon does say up to, but doesn't have the usual line for them to write the price. By far the easiest thing to do is price modify to $10, but some cashiers don't like to do that either, so it just depends, as most deals do, on the store management and your cashier. |

http://www.walgreens.com/topic/ge...y_main.jsp "The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value)." I think most stores would rather price adjust the item, rather than try to adjust the coupon though. But this is far better than back in the day when the coupon exceeded the price of the item they wouldn't let you use the coupon at all. (For instance, you couldn't use a $1 coupon on a .99 cent toothbrush.) |

Can someone tell me what the proper coupon usage for the following which would also be relevant for this week too and for future reference:
Last night I bought 4 Gillette Proglide razors $10.99 ea and 4 Gillette disposable razors which I thought were B1G1 50% off but rang up B1G1 free. I used (4) $10/1 Proglide razor wyb cartridge or disposables coupons. I didn't know whether or not I could use (1) or (2) or (none at all) B1G1 free Gillette disposable razor coupons. So, I asked the BA who looked at her screen and said they're already B1G1 free so she said she didn't think so. I ended up using (4) $1/1 Gillette disposable razor coupons which she said it was o.k. I used $20 RR and got $10 RR for the Breeze 2 meter and 29K points (2k points for Breeze 2, 5k bonus points >$50) and got $5 in non-RR/non-point producing items, so really happy about this transaction but wondering about coupon usage that could have maximized my savings. I also bought 3 Centrum Pronutrients in another transaction but didn't get any points. |

Colgate Total (4 oz) - $3 get $2.50 RR Colgate Optic White full toothbrush, Sensitive Pro Relief 360 toothbrush or 360 Optic White toothbrush - $3.49 get $2 RR Revlon Color Stay Long Lasting (.4 oz) or Scented (.5 oz) , or regular (.5 oz) nail enamel or Revlon Nail Art (.26 oz) - $4.99 get $3 RR {}{}{} When you have points you dont earn MORE points so need to change em to RRs ** Suggestion since you can cash out in incriments of 5000 points, to maximize your benefits The colgate would be your best deal 50c on the colgate items Ea $3+ $3.50 ==> $6.50 -$1 (50cx2)==> $5.50 {5000 points} pay 50cents plus tax ~~ OR ~~~ If you have the 75cent printable you can break even PER 5000 points but get $4.50 in RRs GET $2.50 & $2 RR {{$4.50 RR}} closest without losing too much BUT you'll need to have the colgate 50cent Qs BEST bet is if points can be used on papers invest in some points to pay for them to get points turned into some RRs ISO: MCR Codes LMK what you seek~~~~~~

Found on another site - 12/02 SS has a coupon that says "Get one (1) FREE KREON MICRO-CHANGERS figure (Up to $3.49) value).
Walgreens ad shows "Buy 2 Get 1 free" and shows the Kre-o Transformers in the picture. Buy 3 and get 1 Free from Wag and 2 free from 2 coupons (no limit on coupon as to how many can be used in a trxn or per day). I checked the Hasbro website and it says "KRE-O TRANSFORMERS MICRO-CHANGERS are a brand new way to play with your favorite AUTOBOTS & DECEPTICONS" so it looks like this is the same product. Just an FYI for those that might need some free items to hit the $50 or $75 mark or some free Christmas items for little ones. My SS had it and I'm in SA, Tx. |
