Same here - order voided, no email. Contacted them and after speaking to supervisor, they will honor the discounted price (gc included) once the item's restocked. We'll see.

Yeah, this SUCKS. Sears canceled the 32" TV that only cost $97 to start and not only did they email, they also gave everyone $100 in Shop Your Way points to apologize. Unfortunately, since Newegg didn't bother to email me, I didn't know this was canceled. I used those points on something else....but I would have used them to order a different sound bar if Newegg had bothered to tell me they weren't going to honor the sale. This week of all weeks, you can't keep people hanging. If you screw up and oversell, you should offer a sincere apology...and you should get it out there right away so people don't pass up other Black Friday deals thinking that they've already got a deal in the bag.

I emailed customer service this morning about this because I'm just not impressed. As a lot of us know, this came back in stock and went back out of stock several times. They actually took the time to change the promo code so that it no longer included the $60 gift card and then brought it back in stock and took more orders. That would lead me to believe that they had enough stock to fulfill the orders with the $60 GC. They made me a crappy offer as an apology and I wrote them back and told them that they have to do better by us on this. Sears gave $100 to the people who got the 32" TV's cancelled. That is enough in GC money to pay for the difference between the $100 TV and a similar off-brand 32" TV -- and it's good until Christmas Eve, so it gives everyone plenty of time to find themselves a $100 TV (or spend that money on something else). Newegg ought to make an effort to at least offer a similar deal on another soundbar (maybe the E-450 without the sub or the Toshiba one that they stock with the sub). I know that whatever else they offer probably won't be quite as good a deal as the Yamaha, but they need to offer something close or give enough credit to make up the difference. What bugs me the most is that all of the BF sales are popping off and I thought I already had a sound bar, so I wasn't even looking. Newegg couldn't even email us and let us know? Crappy. Sears emailed everyone about the cancellation right away. I finally got an order cancellation notice from Newegg today at 2:09pm -- after I had already emailed customer service twice complaining about it.
The second message from the rep said that she spoke with her supervisor and they are working on a solution for the affected customers. They have emailed me back within about 30 minutes each time so far, so I have faith that they will honor that commitment and do something. |

I've been complaining... Finally posted a hugely negative reply on resellerratings.com commenting on Newegg's unreliability over the holiday season. That got Newegg's attention fast. Arguing over email with rep now who offered me $100 credit when it comes back. Too bad $250-100 is still $150 and there's no promise of a $60 GC after the fact... Will wait and see how he responds to me. |

Yup, just got a "voided" order and "refund" issued, no explanation. I sat here and waited for it, expecting it before tomorrow to go with my new TV. This is COMPLETELY inexcusable for NewEgg. They have been going downhill for years, and this little fiasco may be the last straw for me. I'm probably going to start preferring places like Tiger or Fry's from now on.
