So are you saying the new portal plugs into the Wii via a cable, or there is a USB that plugs into the Wii that connects with the portal? Plugging into the Wii with a cable would be so annoying...and limit access to the portability of the portal....

Thanks for this! I grabbed a PS3 version since the Amazon BF deal doesn't say ps3. With my red card it was $49 and change. Only roughly $10 more than Amazon. Good enough deal for me. And the new portal is a usb cord to the ps3 meaning no more batteries. The cord will be annoying but it's better than using 9 batteries a week on the old portal!

And the Target only Granite Crusher is pretty neat. He's black with blue spikes/eyes/crystals. His eyes and spikes glow royal blue when he's on the portal. I definitely prefer him to the silver/green Crusher.

So, we have the xbox360 version with the portal that I got the kids for Christmas last year. Wondering if I should get this one for the xbox too or should I get it for the wii? The kids play both consoles...just don't know if there are advantages to having both games for the same console?? (I don't play the games ) Any advice?
