smart people don't care about 3-d? seems more of a personal preference to me.. has nothing to do with intelligence.

if you care about it then it's a big deal, if you don't then it's not.. seems pretty simple.
but if you do care about 3-d it's going to cost more to get one which makes sense that a 3-d is going to cost more than one without it which is why those bigger screens or similar size screens are cheaper.

as you said 120hz does make a difference in some instances, it's up to each person to decide of that matters or not.

if it does then it's worth it to get a tv with it.

if someone is ok with getting a giant tv with 60hz and no 3-d well that's good for them but not everyone is fine with that.
and some of us can't afford the 1k price tag of the big screens with those features.

which leaves a smaller screen in the 40-47 inch range.

I understand what youre saying, not looking to have a big argument about it. The main positives of buying a 3D TV actually comes from the fact they are usually newer and more updated having higher end processors in them which translates to better colors etc. Past that though, 3D movies and use are known for causing people headaches often times, some people dont realize that. Im not too big on the 3D feature itself. I almost never use it on mine.

The entire point I was trying to make was, this price isnt some crazy good deal. You can find other LED 3D TV's for similar or better prices pretty easily, especially with BF coming up. I certainly wouldnt pay $500 for a 40" LED 3D TV. Just do research and shop around.

I've attached my order slip, if you have a fry's that has a tv in stock online they'll price match it. If it's for in-store pickup only they'll only price match if a fry's near you has it in stock.
First place the order at amazon then call to price match it, they won't do it over chat tried.
Also a tv that is larger then 42" will be shipped through amazon enhanced tv delivery, which is free from amazon but if u price match you will be charged $200.00. So keep that in mind before u call to price match a big screen tv. In my case it was a 40" so shipping was free using prime.

This was a one day sale at fry's so unless they bring the deal back you won't be able to repeat this deal.
