Can the Sega collection be redeemed on Steam?

I saw this deal on my iphone...so added GOTY and gods/kings to my wish list..had to wait until I got home to purchase.

I was able to get the GOTY and activate on steam. However, Gods/Kings is showing unavailable now?!?!?

Saw "Gods and Kings" for $7.50 and nearly jumped out of my chair with joy. Then I saw it was OOS and nearly slashed my wrist with sadness. (j/k)

Hopefully Amazon will get more keys and it will be back in stock. Anyone know how long this sale is going?

This is an excellent deal for anyone who's been waiting to play this game. As for "Gods and Kings," I am sure there will be a Steam sale for that soon. (Unless it comes back on Amazon). But how do you run out of stock for a downloadable game? >__<

The reviews are brutal!!! Can anyone confirm or deny all the problems with running this game as stated in the reviews?

I personally loved the game, wasn't bad at all, definitely worth the price you see here.

It feels better than previous Civ's for me. Will need a friend to play with though, or you might get bored vs AI over time, multiplayer is nice.

Amazon had probably a limited number of keys since they were advertising it as the "Mac" version. With only 5 reviews, I bet they didn't have many keys set aside for this sale. Anyways they probably have to request more keys, and since it is night time in the US it will probably wait till tomorrow.

Nope. Check the page to see if it mentions "Steam required" anywhere. That typically is a tip off immediately. If it doesn't, then no.

Not talking about the gameplay. Most of the reviews say that they never even get to play the game because the keys they get from Amazon don't work and Amazon won't support the issue.

Ah... misread.

Well, I can't really seem to find any reviews stating they couldn't access the game. Most are really just complaining about performance issues.

After reading the negative reviews, I really suggest looking at gameplay videos/reputed reviewers. I've been able to run Civ5 with 0 problems at all.

I highly doubt Amazon would ignore a key-distribution issue for such a major game. I bought the GOTY from Amazon on sale a while ago, still waiting on Gods and Kings though (unavailable atm =/). If you really are worried, you could wait for a sale on Steam itself, the same price I think.

Buy the game, goto your Amazon downloader, and click the product keys button. Copy that key. Go to Steam and use the Activate game option and put in your copied key. it downloads the Windows version, no prob.

I really hope that they get more keys. I and several of my friends will buy it if it comes back.

In regards to reviews, I can't comment on the problems that people have had with key codes.
However, the game itself (civ 5, I haven't played G&K) definitely has problems. I often get random system crashes when playing civ 5 that require a hard reset. Sometimes things will stop rendering properly part way through a game. Things often start to get choppy when it tries to calculate things during the AI's turn. None of this has anything to do with system hardware, it's just the game itself.

With that said, I still love civ 5. I've played for hundreds of hours with friends.
