Alternatives to the 60" Vizio

Seeing as half the internet is after this TV for $700, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or plans on alternatives. I saw that the Panasonic Plasma 60" would be about this price with it's big downsides being no smart apps (doesn't matter if you hook up a PS3/Roku/etc) and only 2 HDMI ports (this is bigger if you don't have an AVR).

Any other suggestions recommendations? Would the Sharp for $999 be worth it? Is it any better than the Vizio to justify the higher price?
