Yep. This shyt has scam written all over it. Reminds me of when I first used a Saveology voucher and had to call that 1-800 number to redeem it. Who went on for 20mins trying to get me to sign up for magazines and other shyt.. all just to save $5 at Papa Johns. What the hell does magazines have to do with PapaJohns? I've learned my lesson.

The hoops & hurdles you have to jump thru to cancel this "deal" is enough for me, anybody who signs up and books thru them (after all the warnings in this thread) deserves what they get. Do I even need mention their prices dont seem any cheaper than the basic search/travel websites. And what happens if you need to make changes/cancel a reservation? lol

Yeah. I especially hate websites that bar your browser from remembering the username and password, but then turn around and blasts them out in cleartext over email. They don't think things through, and the inconsistency sucks.

As best I can tell, you get an extra $5 or so off on certain bookings. I don't see any great benefit from being a member, but I have booked from the site before as a non-member so I figured I might as well be a member.

Pal, these are 2 different sites - lastminutetravel.com is a site showing undercover deals like Hotwire while lmtclub.com is the lastminutetravel's member only loyalty site. They have a tab called Club in lastminutetravel.com that redirects you to the loyalty website.
They show hotels with their names on lmtclub. if I look at the site I actually see on lastminutetravel.com coupons section http://www.lastminutetravel.com/coupons.aspx
they got $50 off few hotels in ny, $20 off vegas and $30 off orlando hotels
