It's free so wth, go for it! Sign up is super easy. Just asked for name, email, promo code and you're done. You can use fake name and spam email and you're good to go. Since no billing information is asked of you, you don't have to worry about cancellation.
I did a test run since someone posted on the wikipost that prices were consistently cheaper compared to expedia. I'd say YMMV. I did a random search using Tokyo, Japan for Nov 27-29 for 2 guests. Cheapest hotel that LMT offered was Hilton Tokyo hotel, Twin Hilton room for $77.22/night. Couldn't find this rate on Kayak. On Hilton's own website, they show this room for this hotel on these dates for $308 advance or $343/night. Found it for $225.04/night on Expedia. So LMT wins over Expedia and Hilton here. But if you compare with another hotel, say Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo, Kayak shows $103.91/night as does Expedia versus LMT's $137.23. LMT is not reflecting the 25% off sale price you get for staying two nights at that hotel. Irregardless, I see perks for signing up. A definite nice additional shopping comparison tool to use. ETA: But now if you wanted the absolute cheapest accommodations without care for star rating, other sites offer cheaper and lower prices. But if you compare apples to apples, LMT might offer a few lower prices. ETA2: I just notice they have a separate listing for "Hilton Tokyo" for $201.23/night if I set filter to "Best Value" but if I set it to "Prices (Low to High)", the same hotel with same address but titled "Hilton Tokyo hotel" shows up for $77.22/night. Mistake? Hmmm. Last edited by Lurker247; 11-18-2012 at 08:05 PM.. |

I used to work for a booking agency like them. Typically when you see 2 hotels, same name, different prices. It just means that it's from 2 seperate suppliers that lastminutetravel.com uses. So 1 supplier may have it for 75, the other supplier may have it for 73. No difference in hotel. |

Well, maybe so, maybe not.... in their T&C, it says they will use ANY billing info they have about you to charge you the membership fee. So if you book anything through them, they can use that payment info to charge you for your next year's membership charge.... unless you comply with their insane cancellation process. |

wait? Do we have to worry about being billed? Its not like we entered any credit card info for the free offer. I should have entered a fake name and address!!
Also, anyone know HOW to cancel?? I don't see any cancelation button under my account info.. Last edited by krazyshopper; 11-18-2012 at 09:11 PM.. |

No thank you
Just in time! I am trying to book thru hotels dot com when I compared from lmt it seems a lot cheaper than hotels dot com but when I was already checking out. It shows different amount (not the price indicated on their site)...SO PLS BE WARNED!!! check and compare first...and I was doing a research on google, there are some complaints here and there. Seems like a scam website.
