The main different is the IR cut filter. It makes the colors REALLY pop during non IR night time mode.
HOWEVER, the ir cut filter clicks on and off depending on ambient lighting conditions... IMO, its just a matter of time before the toggle breaks and it gets stuck on either IR or NON IR mode. I personally like this version the best if you can live with the lack of color. ALSO, the "newer" models (F18910W) which I own many of, are not manufactured with very decent processors, during high-color applications (lots of different colors, Greens, yellows, reds) the camera slows to a mere 4-6 FPS as it STRUGGLES to process the image data heavy in color. Until they upgrade the onboard sensor processor, its no better (and in some applications, worse) then this model. I personally do not install the 10W's in color-rich environments for my clients. |

Plus the 8910 is in the $85+ range. This may be the HOTTEST price for the FI8918W ever?? $49.99? And its NEW! with a 2 year warranty because 1saleaday is listed as a Foscam authorized dealer. I have heard people criticize asaleaday... but how bad can they be if authorized by Foscam? I have made purchases through them with no problem So... In for 2... $110 total... sweet. on the fence, i dont think color is that important...for a home security camera? not sure if the 10W is worth the $20 extra when a similar deal comes back
