Read the fine print for the 5% online offer - you can't get 7% for online purchases:
Yes, the 2% offer referring to "any" purchases is misleading, but they are not going to stack 2% on top of the 5% offer.
What are you reading that makes you think that it doesn't stack? What you have bolded at least is merely stating that the amount you spend that gets 5% cash back doesn't count towards the $3k you need to spend before you start earning 1% on normal purchases.
You get 1% by default on every purchase. So 2% would make it double. This is in comparison to the default 1%.
Actually you don't get 1% on all other purchases. If you read the fine print, it says you don't get 1% until you spend $3000 (in annual purchases), you only get 0.25%.
Also, I contacted them on their classification of department stores (cause my toyrus store did not get the 5%) and they said, any store which has all their registers in front such as Target and Walmart, all do not qualify. The type of stores that qualify are like Sears and Macys.
