Weak a$$ processor...

The AMD E-300 processor gets benchmark results about the same as my Pentium 4 from 2005! My second gen i5 processor gets a score about 7 or 8 times faster.

For a typical 15" laptop, 5 hours isn't horrible -- it's actually better than average.
Even most Ultrabooks only have battery life of 6-8 hours -- with a few hitting 10 hours, but generally those are models that are a bit heavier than true Ultrabooks (i.e. oversized batteries).

What is horrible about this unit is the processor -- which is probably part of why the battery life is better than average.

The E-300 is basically a Netbook level processor with performance very similar to the Intel Atom N570. Or, for comparison, another dual core part, the venerable Core Duo T2050 that was introduced in early 2006 benchmarks slightly BETTER than the E-300 does...

I was #23 on the list and got the deal for $199....But unable to order more than 1 qty..ooops

Agreed. The E-300 keeps popping up in "laptop" deals but it's a netbook processor. I had one, ok for basic browsing and docs. Nothing more.

yeah only i strongly believe that your pentium 4 from 05 will probably be faster.

Don't bet on that -- Flash Video is notoriously power hungry in terms of CPU cycles and so are other codec.

As long as everything you are playing can be accelerated by the GPU, you should be ok -- but if the codec you are using doesn't have GPU acceleration enabled, you are going to be skipping frames majorly.
