NOT DEAD as long as price is showing $29.99 on the site.
It was a pain in the butt, but I called them on the phone and placed my order. They are charging me the $49.88 and refunding the difference in 3-5 days. I purchased a Sears Gift Card/Certificate from Discover and used that. The card/certificate is $50 worth for $45. I paid the balance with my Discover, but that will get refunded later. I purchased an extra battery that is also now on sale for $19.99. So my final amount will be $45 plus tax for the kit with a spare battery. Giving them all the information on the phone is a pain in the butt......... . The E-Certificate number that includes an 8 digit pin along with a CC number with all that goes with that. I realized that Shop Discover is doing 10% off for Sears now. I should have just done it that way instead of getting the E-Certificate. SD is killing me! You said you paid with a gift card right? Likely you will get a gift card in the mail for the refund amount in about 1 month, maybe. Please follow up because if they credit your gift card in 3 to 5 days I call a miracle. Stickin' it to the Man since 1999! â„¢

I bought it online, the price was correct at $29.99, but I later got an email that stated that the store that I had originally intended to pick this up from (in town) was out of stock, but that I had the option of choosing another store 45 minutes away.
I tried to do so, and it erred out. So I spoke with a store manager in town who ordered it for me, printed my receipt, and told me to pick it up in the other store (I was headed there anyway). So I got the last one within a few hundred miles. FWIW, the store manager mentioned that because of all the issues they were having online, Sears was stopping the selling of certain items that are to be available on BF as well, due to running out of stock too quickly. So don't be surprised if some of the pre-BF items are gone on BF. |

Thanks for the heads up though. Had I not recently had the problem I had, I wouldn't have known how messed up they are. I hope they don't tank unless they at least sell the Craftsman line that keeps my warranty going. I hate to see them go at all, but they sure have gone downhill in the last few years. |
