when you overlock these things, they are powerhogs, but you can run these in SLI with a good 750w PSU. it's mostly watching out for your voltages, not your wattage. if you're supplying an OC'd CPU with extra voltage, you may run into problems with lower-end PSU's

That's highly suspect. The card pulls ~200W max from what I've seen and should be perfectly fine with 550W.

LOL! Don't worry about that. I ran an X58 system with a 7970 in it off a 430W Corsair builder's series PSU when my main one crapped out (not recommended long term obviously). There would be no issues with a decent 650w power supply and this card. 800W would be massive overkill and only necessary if you were seriously considering adding a second card for SLI

The PSU wouldn't have any impact on the fan rattling, but in case that wasn't why you were asking, a quality 650w psu like a corsair TX would be plenty for a system built around this card.

I had to pick my jaw up off the desk when I saw the price, but 100$ MIR, esp one thats a card and not a check, is just way too much money for me to entrust into the all-too-often shady world of tech-company MIRs

Very tempting. But now that I have a 2560x1440 monitor I'll have to hold out for something better. Price is tempting though.

For $100, you'd be smart to spend the $2 and use Signature Confirmation.

no, that's not the 448 core version, much weaker than this

This is an absolute excellent deal. This will handle most games at full details with the right system. I got mine a few months back for $160 and I thought that was amazing.

If I hadn't just bought this, I'd buy it wihout second thought.

Would I be ok if I used this with a 550W antec PSU? Im building a pc and thats all I have so far is the PSU and this looks like a killer deal to snag up. I plan to get a intel mobo and cpu to match.
