-- This phone will NOT be getting WP8 updates. It WILL be getting 7.8 and any other updates MS pushes out for the legacy devices.
-- This phone does not have a microSD card slot. While some 7/7.5 phones did ship with a microSD card slot the functionality was not officially supported. Starting with WP8 microSD is supported but not all phones will have it (including the 920).
-- When you look at reviews across the board, the 900 has a fairly good camera. Isn't top of the line and certainly doesn't compare well with the 808 or 920 but it can hold it's own against other top tier cameras.
This is a great price. If it is unlocked I just might have to jump on it. I have a Focus S that I love but really miss the extras that come with Nokia devices. My wife has a 710 and it is great.
You should see how it lost its value in the market.... it will not sell second hand for $100 now - even unlocked !!
Simply not true. The announcement about Nokia not getting the WP8 upgrades was made months ago. I've been following the prices pretty closely ever since. The price has dropped in line with other platforms (standard depreciation over time). Eventually the device will sell for $100 but we aren't even close to that yet. Just today on eBay 5 900's were sold. Prices ranged from $200 to $275. Only one that didn't sell was listed for $270, was used, and had scratches all over the back of it.
It is funny how quickly thing get "old" in the mobile phone market. Only a month or so ago it was Nokia's flagship phone.
I agree. The Nexus 4 has changed the pricing landscape.. Besides the Lumia 900 will never get a Windows 8 phone upgrade because 7.5/7.8 and 8.0 are completely different kernels..
Ah... dude. This phone was introduced like 6 months ago.
Was it really 6 months ago? lol Well it was dated hardware when introduced. Nevertheless it was solid considering WP7 had matured a bit, and it was priced competitively enough. It is supposed to get that 7.8 update to give it some 8.0 features.
I wish google would do a budget phone for $150. Half the power and features of the Nexus 4 should be a solid out of contract phone =P. But that's an entire different issue.
